Welcome to Port St Johns

Port St. Johns is a town which has about 6,500 people on the Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape Province. It is situated at the mouth of the Umzimvubu River, and 70 kilometers away from uMthatha.

Port St Johns offers a variety of its beauty to the Pondoland area as it is known as eSajonisi to its people. It is surrounded by villages and its small town but that does not stop the tourists from around South Africa even abroad.

Sajonisi has been named as one of the most visited tourist’s destination in the Eastern Cape. The following picture is what separates the Ingquza Hill local Municipality to Port St Johns.

What is more interesting about Sajonisi is the fact that it is always green all year which it makes it easy for tourists to be able to come and experince the beauty of the nature that it caters for the people. It also contributes to the economy of the province in such a way that it gets very busy during the festive season.

As it offers different outdoors activities people can enjoy a variety of those activities which include the following

Is is always the best feeling ever eating something that you have never tasted before, Port St Johns also offers different types of traditional food that you can always enjoy.

What I love the most about St Johns is the fact that people from there are very nice and kind to other people more especially to visitors and even if they see that someone is getting lost they always offer their help to people they do not know.
